Caracul

Present throughout the country but very rarely seen the caracal is a beautiful cinnamon coloured member of the cat family.
They prey on small mammals, and birds, have a gestation of 10 weeks and live for as long as 17 years.
Few cats can imitate the caraculs sudden spring to pull down a bird in mid flight, sometimes as high as three meters, a remarkable feat for such a small animal.
The soft thick coat has no distinct stripes but is clearly spotted on the underside and has a shorter tail and longer ears than any other African cat

Square-lipped ( White) Rhino

The white or square-lipped rhino is one of two rhino species in Southern Africa where they number about 7000
The white rhino's name derives from the Dutch "weit" ( Afrikaans "weid") meaning wide, a reference to its wide, square muzzle adapted for grazing on grasses.
The white rhino, which is actually gray, has a pronounced hump on the neck and a long face.
Square-lipped rhinos live in savannas with water holes, bushveld, wallows and shade trees
Although the Square-lipped rhinoceroses is a placid animal, mothers fiercely protect their offspring.
